Vincent Duhaime Perreault is a versatile musician working in different musical styles, and in several groups on the Montreal scene. Biography
Vincent Duhaime Perreault graduated from the Faculty of Music of the University of Montreal in Jazz Performance, and subsequently studied with guitarists John Abercrombie and Nelson Faria. This versatile multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and teacher has succeded in making his way on the Jazz, World Beat and Pop scene with collaborations and projects bringing him to perform in Europe, Canada, the United States and the Middle East. In 2011, he was awarded the Syli D’or first prize for The Cuban Martinez Show and opened for reggaeton star Daddy Yankee. He has collaborated with artists such as Élage Diouf, and Arometis, a Montreal cross-over group nominated for a Felix in 2012 for “Best World Music Album.” Vincent had led his original band Amanha for several years, and is currently working with Tegou as musical director, the latter having had the opportunity to open for Marc Anthony at the Montreal Olympic Stadium in 2012.
